Teknei participated once again in the National Congress on Innovation and Public Services (CNIS),<\/strong> held on February 25 and 26 at La Nave (Madrid)<\/strong>. This year\u2019s edition brought together more than 1,000 public sector professionals, technology leaders, and companies specializing in administrative modernization, once again establishing itself as the premier venue for learning about trends, discussing challenges, and sharing real-world solutions for the digital transformation of government agencies. <\/p>\n\n

Our participation as a Gold Sponsor,<\/strong> alongside our technology partner NetApp<\/strong>, allowed us to reinforce our commitment to public innovation and showcase some of our most significant projects, capabilities, and areas of focus. Throughout the two-day event, the Teknei booth served as a constant hub for institutions and professionals.<\/strong> There, we were able to exchange ideas, learn about specific needs, and discuss current challenges in areas such as technological sovereignty, mobility, cybersecurity, and data governance. <\/p>\n\n

The CNIS agenda was once again a cornerstone of the conference, and Teknei played an active role with two presentations that generated significant interest among attendees. On February 25, the workshop \u201cReal-Time Monitoring of Urban Mobility for Cities and Public Transportation\u201d <\/strong>was held, led by Ernesto Guerra<\/strong>. Through case studies and real-world examples, he demonstrated how the use of WiFi, Bluetooth, and GSM data can provide key indicators to improve transportation management and advance toward more efficient smart city models. <\/p>\n\n

On February 26, the session \u201cDigital Sovereignty and Strategic Autonomy: Regaining Control of Critical Systems\u201d<\/strong> took place, featuring presentations by Juan Luis Alarc\u00f3n (Teknei), Luis Rico (NetApp), Lorenzo Flores (SESCAM), and Xabier Manterola (Teknei).<\/strong> The session focused on the importance of having technological infrastructures that reduce dependencies, strengthen security, and lay the groundwork for artificial intelligence aligned with the needs of the public sector. SESCAM\u2019s participation provided a practical perspective based on the experience of an administration that is driving significant evolution in its digital systems. <\/p>\n\n

The 2026 edition also featured the traditional CNIS awards ceremony,<\/strong> which recognized real-world public innovation projects that have already been implemented and are having a direct impact on citizens. On this occasion, Teknei played a prominent role in the ceremony: Xabier Manterola presented the award in the administrative simplification category to the Provincial Council of Bizkaia for its \u201cRenta Bizkaia & Batuz\u201d initiative.<\/strong> The project transforms the tax obligation into a proactive service by sending pre-filled tax return forms, significantly reducing the administrative burden on citizens. The award presentation was one of the highlights of the Congress for our team. <\/p>\n\n
