eHealth

Description

The eHEALTH project is developing a wearable device in the form of a “sock” with a built-in Doppler sensor, capable of collecting information on blood flow in the lower extremities. This device connects via Bluetooth to a smartphone or tablet, sending the data for analysis and enabling early identification of risk situations that could lead to ulcers or, in severe cases, amputations.

Objective

To prevent the onset of complications arising from diabetic foot through continuous, non-invasive monitoring of blood flow.

Actions

  • Design and development of a smart textile device with a built-in Doppler sensor.
  • Connectivity of the device with mobile devices for data analysis.
Development of algorithms for early detection of vascular risk.
Clinical validation in real-world settings with diabetic patients.
