Mamosynthesis
Description
The MAMOSINTESIS project aims to develop a diagnostic aid tool (CAD) that reduces the number of false positives, false negatives, and unnecessary biopsies in the breast cancer diagnosis process. The technology is based on providing a three-dimensional (3D) view of microcalcifications, which are key to early detection, thereby improving the quality of care and facilitating a more accurate assessment by medical staff.
Objective
To optimize the early diagnosis of breast cancer using advanced 3D digital mammography techniques, improving diagnostic accuracy and reducing unnecessary interventions.
Actions
- Development of a 3D reconstruction system for breast microcalcifications.
- Integration of artificial intelligence algorithms for pattern detection and analysis.
- Clinical validation of the system in a hospital setting.
- Provision of additional clinical data to specialists to support diagnosis and treatment.
