ME2- idWallet
Description
ME2-idWallet is an industrial research project aimed at developing a corporate digital identity solution capable of operating across multiple regulated ecosystems such as EUDI, EBSI, and vLEI. It was launched in response to the challenges of interoperability, security, and regulatory compliance faced by Basque companies in their digital transformation. The project aligns with the Science, Technology, and Innovation Plan (PCTI) 2030 and aims to position the Basque Country as a European leader in decentralized digital identity.
Objective
The main objective is to create a corporate digital identity solution that enables organizations to operate securely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations across various decentralized digital identity ecosystems. ME2-idWallet seeks to facilitate the adoption of these technologies in the Basque industrial sector, particularly in the automotive industry, and to explore their application in artificial intelligence through the concept of “Verifiable AI Identity & Delegation.”
Actions
- Definition of architecture and functional specifications.
- Research on interoperability between EUDI, EBSI, and vLEI ecosystems.
- Development of mechanisms for revoking and verifying credentials.
- Integration with corporate tools (ERP, SCM, AI).
- Implementation of three use cases: carbon footprint, digital product passport, and banking certificate.
