Description

SAREAN is a strategic project aimed at developing advanced technological solutions to protect critical infrastructure in the Basque Country against hybrid threats (physical and digital). In a context of increasing industrial digitalization, the project addresses the need for a comprehensive security architecture that combines cybersecurity and physical security, positioning the Basque Country as a leader in industrial security through innovative technologies such as AI, digital twins, network traffic analysis, perimeter surveillance, and digital identity management.

Objective

The main objective is to equip the Basque industry with technological capabilities that enable it to achieve a level of protection equivalent to that of critical infrastructure. To this end, a comprehensive security framework will be developed that combines detection, prevention, and response to hybrid incidents, promoting the specialization of local suppliers, technological sovereignty, and the Basque Country’s international competitiveness in the field of industrial security.
