Madrid, November 27, 2025 – Indra Group has reached an agreement with Teknei, a technology company headquartered in Bilbao specializing in consulting, software development, and IT solutions, to sell its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) unit in Spain, Colombia, Italy, Peru, Mexico, Chile, and Portugal for €96.6 million. Teknei is a leading operator in this sector with a strong commitment to excellence and innovation. Both companies will work together to ensure a smooth integration for professionals, teams, and clients.
The transaction is part of Indra Group’s “Leading the Future” Strategic Plan, aimed at strengthening the corporation’s position in other key sectors such as Aerospace, Defense, and Advanced Digital Technologies, which have significant growth potential and where Indra Group aspires to become a European leader. For Teknei, this deal is aligned with its strategic growth plan to achieve €1 billion in revenue by 2030. Furthermore, the acquisition reinforces its leadership in the technology services and outsourcing market, where it serves major clients in banking, insurance, and public administration.
The sale of BPO to Teknei will guarantee operational continuity and service quality for all clients through the transfer of contracts and technology. A central aspect of the sale has been the orderly transfer of professionals. The agreement includes a social clause that ensures the transfer of more than 5,000 employees to Teknei, with a commitment not only to maintain their jobs for at least two years after the closing of the transaction but also to preserve their current conditions and seniority.
José Vicente de los Mozos, CEO of Indra Group, stated: “This transaction allows us to advance in the execution of our ‘Leading the Future’ Strategic Plan and focus our investments on priority sectors in our roadmap, where we believe we can lead solutions at the European level. The deal has been structured to ensure continuity of service for clients and job security for BPO business professionals. Teknei is a Spanish company with extensive experience and recognition in the sector, which will provide continuity and new opportunities for the talent that has driven the growth of the BPO business.”
Meanwhile, Joseba Lekube, CEO of Teknei, said that acquiring Indra Group’s BPO business “represents a decisive step that will help us scale up and strengthen our position in the technology services market.
