Teknei is participating in the GovTech Breakfast, sharing its insights and expertise in public innovation

On March 13, a new edition of the GovTech Breakfasts took place—events organized by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and Lantik to bring together government agencies, businesses, and technology providers to address the region’s key public innovation challenges. On this occasion, the session focused on three key areas for Bizkaia—the Basque language, culture, and sports—and brought together public officials, industry experts, and technology organizations to jointly explore new solutions and approaches.

Teknei contributed its expertise in digital transformation and public services, as well as its vision on how innovation policies can be implemented through a GovTech approach, connecting institutions, citizens, businesses, and startups to generate practical and scalable solutions. Our team works continuously on projects related to the Basque language, culture, and social engagement, which allowed us to share insights and perspectives aligned with Bizkaia’s institutional priorities.

The event was structured around several activities—a welcome session, an inspirational session, group exploration, and a wrap-up discussion—that fostered close interaction and helped identify real opportunities for improvement. Using international examples and local case studies, emerging trends applicable to the region were analyzed: libraries and cultural spaces as active digital hubs, platforms to engage language communities, immersive experiences, new formats for creation and participation, and the use of data and technology to strengthen school sports as a public policy.

The GovTech Bizkaia ecosystem played a leading role during the session. This framework, promoted by the Provincial Council in collaboration with Lantik, brings together initiatives such as GovTech Calls, GovTech Talks, and the Breakfasts themselves. Its goal is clear: to attract, identify, and implement innovative solutions through collaboration between government agencies and entrepreneurial projects. In this context, Teknei plays a significant role not only as a technology company but also as an agent that supports and connects startups with the real needs of the public sector, helping the region’s innovation ecosystem grow and find ways to scale its initiatives.

Our participation in this edition reinforces that commitment. At Teknei, we firmly believe in a model of open public innovation, where technology is combined with public engagement, on-the-ground knowledge, and entrepreneurial talent to transform services and create a real impact on citizens.

We would like to thank the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and Lantik for the invitation and the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of a GovTech model that is already a benchmark in Spain.
